Description

Diving on the northern side of the island of San Domino, particularly fascinating because two ships of great historical value sank in this stretch of sea.

1] “Lombardo”: the paddle steamer that Giuseppe Garibaldi used for the expedition of the Thousand and sunk on March 19, 1864.

2] Roman cargo ship of the 1st century. BC with its cargo of amphorae and pottery.

Many finds that can be observed along the entire route and which leads the dive to a depth of 25 meters.

The underwater path becomes extraordinary in a nocturnal environment. It is here that the charm of the finds, of the metal structures of the "Lombardo" area give emotions, color and a strong intimacy with history.
