Description
Spectacular dive site where gorgonians, lobsters, lobsters, moray eels and beautiful sea urchins transform the rocky walls, which drop from -28 meters down to -50 metres, into spectacular paintings of a thousand colours.
We have given the new site the name of "Secca di Santa Maria" to the new site, the result of our continuous research and exploration in the depths of the Marine Reserve, and it is certainly another Special dive that will not be missing _cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_to amaze all fans of underwater and lovers of the Tremiti Islands.
The medium-demanding dive offers the possibility more routes which differ mainly in depth: one within 40 metres. and the other up to 50 meters.
However, all of them offer beautiful emotions and a unique environment in terms of color and life forms.
This corner of the Tremiti Marine Reserve is in fact unknown to everyone including fishermen and for this reason it is so full of life.
The dive can only be done through a guideline that is dropped at the moment from the Marlintremiti and removed immediately afterwards (no anchoring is done), to preserve the site for as long as possible.
To identify the new dive site it took hours of monitoring the seabed, 6 deep exploratory dives and 4 dives to define the underwater routes.
All members of the Marlintremiti staff took part in the discovery and definition of the "Secca di Santa Maria".
